This is your wedding. Do what you love. Invite the people you want. Dance to the songs that bring you the most joy. Eat the best food you'll ever have. Be the king and queen of the rest of your life. Enjoy all moments. Share the photographs with your children and grandchildren. Most of all spend the rest of your days with the person you love.
Congratulations to Emily and Thayne! What a beautiful day and a wonderful wedding for an amazing couple!! Emily was simply stunning! Her smile was so contagious! Here is a peak at their special day.

I have been dying to share this engagement session! These two were so much fun and they are so cute together! We managed to get through the whole session without getting rained on, which was a miracle! But on the plus side, it made for some pretty impressive skies! So, here is Emily and Thayne's engagement session. To view the full album, go to aprilcarterphotography.zenfolio.com/emilyandthayne

Photo 122: Four Wheeler Cowboy
This shot reminded me of my grandpa, who passed away in 2009. I grew up living next to, and working for, my grandpa and later went back for a few years after I got married. The four wheeler brings back a lot of memories of moving yearlings and changing sprinkler lines with him-I wish that I would've taken pictures back then! Hind sight is always 20/20. My grandpa was also a photographer. I didn't get to see him use his camera much when I came along because of his age, but when he passed away, we were able to go through all of his slides. Photography was a true art back then-manual focus and nothing digital-one shot was usually what you got. It would be fun to learn to take pictures the way he did. Maybe one day! :)

Photo 105-106: Wide Angle View
I've always wanted to try a wide angle lens, especially with my western and landscape shots! Instead of buying the whole lens, I went the cheap route and bought an attachment for my lens that I already have-just to try it out. I took quite a few pictures and I'm still not sure if I'm using it right, but here's two of my favorites from a branding over the weekend. It was cold and windy, so I have lots of dust pictures too, but what a beautiful, clear blue sky!
